The Web Security Workshop was an exciting and informative session focused on online security and privacy. The workshop aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to protect their personal and professional information from cyber attacks. Led by the experienced and passionate trainer, Oussama Mater, the workshop covered a variety of topics, including the most common types of cyber attacks, their identification, and prevention measures. Participants learned about the importance of online security and were provided with practical tips and techniques to safeguard their digital assets. The session emphasised the significance of being proactive in defending against cyber threats and staying informed about potential risks. Participants actively engaged in discussions and were encouraged to ask questions throughout the workshop.

The Workshop focused on the importance of Cryptography as a potent tool to achieve various objectives. It provided a valuable training session, serving as an essential introduction to the principles of cryptography. This session was open to all individuals with an interest in technology, cybersecurity, or data privacy, underlining the crucial role of cryptography knowledge for professionals in these domains. At the Workshop, attendees were fortunate to have Melek Salaani as the expert trainer. Melek is an accomplished engineer specialising in Information and Communication Technology, with a wealth of experience in Cyber Security and Defense.

The Cyber Security Unit club had a great time at the Cyber Kids event organised with IEEE Junior. Our members visited the E.L. Bochra Primary School on May 13th and spent time with the children, teaching them about cyber security. It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of protecting personal data online, and the Cyber Security Unit club was thrilled to engage with the kids. A huge thank you to the school for giving the Cyber Security Unit club this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these young learners.

With students thrust into the world of IT, they may get overzealous. With a wide array of technologies and experiences one can live in the digital world, people are prone to making bad decisions. Anyone browsing the internet must have critical thinking and knowledge about cyber threats that may lay in the vast webs of the world. After appealing to an IT Specialist, Mr Yassine Masmoudi, who instructed students on the risks they may find and how to avoid them. His charisma and planning played a huge role in leading students to understand how they may fall victim to malice on the internet.

I-PROTECT v5 is the fifth instalment of the annual event held by the IEEE Tunisia Section with Doctor Maha Charfeddine spearheading the effort. As a professional CyberSecurity expert and professor, Misses Maha has rallied the IEEE ENIS CyberSecurity Unit volunteers to help her efforts in making the event a sensational success. Many professionals and students alike have come together to enjoy the wide selection of workshops and seminars the event has to offer. I-PROTECT has come to be one of the most famous and notable events nationally.
