The IEEE Computer Society is renowned for promoting computer science and engineering. The Enis Student Branch Chapter, established on January 27, 2010, at the National School of Engineering of Sfax, focuses on providing its members with essential Information Technology knowledge to boost their careers and improve their skills. Through engaging programs and networking opportunities, the chapter empowers aspiring professionals to excel in the ever-evolving technology landscape.
We organize a diverse range of activities to fulfill our chapter's mission and cater to the needs of our members. These activities include conferences, competitions, hackathons, entertainment events, and workshops. We believe in actively involving our members in the organizational aspects of our work to ensure a sense of ownership and inclusivity within the chapter.
By creating various sustainable and collaborative opportunities to engage in, we ensure that those who are deeply involved with our chapter’s work can truly understand what it means to be an engineer. Our members have ample occasions to develop their hard and soft skills. Our chapter takes pride in nursing the potential of all its members.
Our members actively interact and engage in various debates, fostering a creative and collaborative environment where they can freely express and share numerous innovative ideas. To strengthen our team-work skills, we frequently conduct online meetings to accommodate the requests of our members. We prioritise growing friendships as well as competitiveness amongst our members.
Hello World is an IEEE CS competition designed for students and young professionals keen on problem-solving. It focuses on the art of deduction and offers various sessions, including technical demonstrations like C++ and problem-solving workshops. Participants will enter the realm of detectives, where they'll crack codes, decipher clues, and untangle mysteries through problem-solving prowess.With analytical thinking and collaborative investigation, they'll unravel complex puzzles, embracing the thrill of discovery in this immersive competition.
TechX is an IEEE CS event designed for students and young professionals. It focuses on new technologies and offers various sessions, including technical demonstrations, talks on emerging technologies, and interactions with industry experts. As the Chairman of the IEEE Computer Society Chapter at the National Engineering School of Sfax (ENIS), I led a range of initiatives focused on technology, innovation, and professional development. My role involved strategic planning and execution of numerous events and activities, enhancing both technical and soft skills of our members. Interacting with diverse groups, I fostered a collaborative environment and promoted skill development through seminars, workshops, and competitions. This leadership position refined my problem-solving and team management abilities, equipping me with valuable insights for future technology-driven environments.
My rise to Chairmanship was nothing short of a marvelous experience. With much to learn and sparks of motivation, I find myself embarked in a journey of self-betterment and intriguing discovery. While volunteering for this position, I have come to know, embrace and develop my skill set at an exponential rate; something I believe will play a huge role in kick starting my engineering career. I owe much of my humble but marking exploits to my team and extend to them my sincere appreciation for their cooperation and drive. I am thankful for being able to thrive under the mantle of the IEEE ENIS Computer Society Student Branch Chapter who I deeply cherish and vehemently consider to be the crown jewel of the IEEE ENIS Student Branch.
Being the chairman of IEEE ENIS CS SBC has been one of the most fruitful experiences that I have yet lived, it has allowed me to expand my network and get to know like-minded people that share the same interests as I do. It has enabled me to learn new leadership skills like managing a team, managing tasks... One of the things that I am most grateful for is the ability to discover so much potential within myself and what I could do as an individual and with my team as we were able to organize many activities, from workshops, events, and competitions to humanitarian activities as well.
